UNO single-hand watch in a clear front view.
A statement for a relaxed approach to time: as early as 1986, designer Klaus Botta created the UNO, the first single-hand wristwatch of the modern era. Thanks to the single-hand principle, its wearer perceives the time intuitively and faster than with any other watch. The reason lies in the absolute reduction of the time display. It is a great paradox of the modern world: the second-accurate watch makes us slaves to the moment. It tempts us to push everything to the very last second: deadlines, appointments, connections. The result is stress instead of confidence and a compulsion to control instead of calm. We have grown used to the complex – and unlearned the simple.
