The close-up taken at an angle from above shows the square top of the stool with concentric growth rings of the trunk cross-section. Fine drying cracks and small dark inclusions run through the smoothly finished surface. At the right edge, the light side with a knot is partly visible. The perspective puts the structure of the naturally grown wood centre stage.
